As I expected the ribbons on my costume did not handle the trip really well :
While I was trying to put my costume on I made even a bigger mess :
But my friend fixed me up :
and I was ready for my walk to Victoria square :
First person who took a ribbon from me :
He had a few questions before taking one :
Why?
Is it going on Internet?
He seemed fine with the idea of being seen with me on the Internet and was prepared to pose for the camera :
I found one person interested in what's happening coming out from the Art Gallery :
She seemed literally interested in this project and had a few questions about it.
Afterwards I went to find more people :
And found a couple that looked lost :
So I helped them out to figure where they are
And they took one ribbon from me :
The same women from the Art Gallery was flowing me to see 'art in action' and she asked me where to find more places related with art. As I am not local I could not help her out, but I shoved her our campus building for second year :
Lovely ladies that took one more ribbon :
All people that took a ribbon from me asked why and after my phrase 'it is for an art project' they gladly participated. This couple was not exception :
Till now everyone happily participated, but this couple were not excited about helping me out. They still don it tough :
I saw two girls taking photos of me so I tried to offer them a ribbon too. I think they did not speak in English really well and did not understood what I was talking about. For the first time offered ribbon was not taken :
The next lady was really nice. She had a chat with me for a while and even asked me which ribbon I prefer for her to take :
Victoria square was a bit empty so while I waited for more people my friend took a few pictures of me :
This guy was so happy to get one ribbon, he even thanked me a few times :
And the last ribbon taken :
The end :
I am happy with my final piece. However, if I would have known that because of my frame the costume is going to shrank, I would have made a bigger frame.
But I really liked to see people smiles and, of course, confusion. I am happy that people were not afraid of me and participated in my project!
And here is the video that my friend filmed and I edited it : http://vimeo.com/59440805
